Lilian Update

Today I had a SKYPE session with Kwame to review all of the activities that we have scheduled  during my visit to Ghana in March and at the end of the call, there was a surprise visitor in the school office, Lilian Ampomah.  It was so wonderful to see her smiling face and the sparkle in her eyes. She was a bit shy, she has the sweetest soft voice.  She told me she is feeling well and that she is doing great in school.  I was also able to speak to her teacher, Martin and also Teacher Francis. Next week I will SKYPE with Primary Class three and their teacher, Steady.

I am excited to be headed back to Kissemah in March. Some of the activities planned: Term 2  PTA meeting, excursion for the entire student body to the Kwame Nkrumah National Park and Museum, (the first president of Ghana) a visit to Rafiki Ghana,  review current work at the school site, meet with the village elders in Ayikumah and get census of the children that will be enrolling in the Ayikumah school in September, visit to Afram Publishing to review text books available for the school, review and finalize bid for all the carpentry work at the new school, sponsor letters, observe all classes and enjoy being with the teachers and students and Kwame, Ceci, Stefan and Ben.
