Tuesday Phone Call

This week I called the children from the Atlanta airport as I waited to board a flight to go visit my sister, Ana, and her husband, Parker. Lowrinda answered the phone, she is one of the teachers. She said Renee was at the bank and that all is going well with school and the children.
I was able to speak with Gabriel, Paul, Charles, Matilda, and Elijah. It is always great to hear their voices and all the chatter in the background of the all the children.

I am less than a month away from my return visit on May 3rd, this time the excitement much much different. I imagine all the hugs and greetings I will have from all the children . I will be in Kissemah for 7 days. I am finalizing the trip agenda with Renee and Kwame, I want to schedule a field trip with all the children and also take all the college student volunteers to dinner. And of course go to the school construction site and see all the progress. We need to review the short term and long term plan for the school move and all that is involved in getting the school/dormitory ready for move in.

Last week we had two substantial donations, we are getting close to the $25,000 GOAL.....that when achieved will be matched 100% by a private foundation in Atlanta. Mawuvio's will have funding to operate the new school, to pay teachers, feed the children, have the necessary supplies, school, medical, after school, etc. to EDUCATE 100 CHILDREN at the new location.
A dream come true for Renee and Kwame !!!!!!!

THANKS TO ALL WHO PROVIDE SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT, TO ALL WHO HELP TELL THE STORY, THANKS FOR BUYING THE BRACELETS.......THANKS FROM MY HEART AND THE HEARTS OF ALL THE CHILDREN.......!!!!
