The Last Day.... Cusco

I am up at 5.30am, today we are going to the local public Cusco Mercado at 6.30am. The market is described as frenzied and a must see. It is a 20 minute walk from our hotel, so we are venturing out.

Yesterday we had a city tour of Cuso, a nice morning of sites and history and more amazement of the Inca Empire. We finished our tour in the San Blas district, had a wonderful lunch at Pachapapa. We ventured around the San Blas district known for arts, crafts, antiques. It is a few blocks from the hotel at the top of a hill, we walked back down the narrow streets, I think most everyone enjoyed a nap in the afternoon.

For dinner we went to Incanto, an Italian restaurant, 2 or 3 blocks from the hotel. It was wonderful, delicious, great service. We toasted to the trip, our new friendships and the wonderful time we all had on this Peru journey. Everyone agreed that Machu Picchu was their most favorite time during the visit to Peru.

At 12pm we head to the Cusco Airport, for a 55 minute flight to Lima. We are then going into Lima for dinner at La Rosa Nautica, a restaurant that sits right on the water. Then back to the airport for an 11.20pm departure back to Miami. Nikki and Sue leave in the wee hours of Sunday and they are flying directly to Atlanta. Roger and Mary dont leave for Panama until tomorrow early afternoon.

We are all looking forward to being home. Maddie and Morgan we will be there soon to pick you up.
